When to come to us — and when to go straight to TikTok

• A rule-breaking account — scam, impersonation, harassment, counterfeit — needs reporting properly. That's what we do.
• Your own account was banned and you believe it's a mistake? That's an appeal — file it in the app under "Report a problem", not through any paid service.
• Child-safety or a credible real-world threat? Contact your local authorities first — that never belongs in a takedown queue.
